The free desktop app splits any song into vocals/drums/bass/guitar/piano and detects its tempo, key, and chords — a real breakdown of how the track was made, not a guess. This browser version can't run that (it needs real local compute), but its Any Sound row below lets you upload a clip and reverse or pitch-shift it right now, no install.
Hum or sing into your mic and it's pitch-tracked note-by-note, then replayed through any of 8 instrument voices — auto-tuned into a key if you can't quite hold the note, with Robotic or Muffled voice effects. Try it in the Voice row below — fully real, runs right in this tab.
Uploads become playable, editable tracks you can drag, stretch, reverse and pitch-shift right away — select more than one file and each becomes its own track instantly, no extra click. Each track also has an experimental MIDI button that tracks its one dominant melody line and exports a real .mid file — it works well on a clean solo instrument or vocal, but a full mixed song, chords, drums, or noisy audio (like a gameplay video's soundtrack) won't transcribe cleanly. Real multi-instrument note-level transcription needs the free desktop app's local compute (Demucs stem separation plus real pitch/onset detection) — that boundary hasn't changed, this is a genuinely different, smaller, single-melody feature.
1. Pick an instrument sound below → 2. press Record → 3. play the drum pads and piano keys — both are always live together, the dropdown only changes the piano's sound, never the drum kit.
Load any two of your own tracks from "Your Layers" into Deck A/B, then play, scratch the jog wheels, drop hot cues, and crossfade between them live — a just-for-fun virtual console, reusing the exact same track audio already in your project.
This browser DAW plays with original example songs, your own uploaded clips, and built-in effects — all running locally in this tab, for free, forever. Full song analysis (real stem separation, chord/tempo detection) and AI generation need real local compute, so those live in the free desktop app.
